Lee Kum Kee Group’s First “WE Together for Tai Po” Initiative: Welcoming Wang Fuk Court Families to Our Sauce Plant
08/17/2026

On 11 July, Lee Kum Kee Group launched its first initiative under the “WE together for Tai Po” programme — a “Tai Po Sauce Headquarters Tour and Culinary Experience Day”. The event was coordinated by Project Heha and co-organised with Baptist Charismatic Social Service (BCSS) and Operation Santa Claus HK, with support from the South China Morning Post and RTHK.

During the event, Lee Kum Kee Group volunteers guided families on a tour of the production facilities, offering a closer look at the sauce-making process that has been part of Tai Po for decades. For many families, it was their first time seeing how sauces are brewed. The visit was followed by a hands-on culinary session, where parents and children made their own rice balls using different sauces. Families also enjoyed booth games and food tasting before gathering for lunch by the scenic waterfront of Sam Mun Tsai.

The “WE together for Tai Po” programme driven by Project Heha is inspired by a “WE > I” mindset — encouraging people to move beyond “I” and come together as “WE” through simple and genuine acts of care. The initiative brought together colleagues from different group functions and business units as volunteers, putting the Group’s core value of “Si Li Ji Ren” (思利及人) into action by connecting with and caring for the local community.

As a long-standing member of the Tai Po community, Lee Kum Kee Group values the strong connections it has built with its neighbours over the years. Looking ahead, the Group will continue to create opportunities to connect, share and contribute to building a happier Tai Po community.
